John Burgett, CO - John has been working in the Denver market for over twenty years now. He established the Orthotics program at Children's Hospital and then founded the Denver Brace Center. The Denver Brace Center was a major player in this market until it was sold in 1998. John has continued to work in the metro area and co-founded Ascent Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2004. John is an ABC Certified Orthotist and graduated from the University of Minnesota Orthotic Certificate Program. He has also earned prosthetic training from Northwestern and UCLA. John specializes in the design and fitting of custom orthoses. John has extensive pediatric experience with bracing for cerebral palsy, spina bifida, scoliosis and kyphosis.
Paul Hendrickson, CP - Paul began his professional career at Shriners Children's Hospital in Minneapolis as a volunteer and has been working in the Denver area now for over 15 years. Paul is an ABC Certified Prosthetist and graduated from the University of Minnesota Prosthetic Certificate Program. Paul worked with John at the Denver Brace Center and expanded that practice into Colorado Springs until 1998. Paul then worked in the Washington state area for a few years and after being back in Denver for a year and a half, co-founded Ascent Orthotics & Prosthetics with John in 2004. Paul has extensive fabrication and design knowledge in both orthotics and prosthetics.
Mark Hassel, CO – Mark has been providing service to the metro community as a technician and practitioner for over twenty years. After graduating from high school here, he began his career as a technician, joining John and starting Denver Brace Center. Mark enhanced his career by becoming an ABC Certified Orthotist and recently owned and operated Colorado Orthotic Labs. Mark is an outstanding fabricator of orthotic devices which is second only to his skills as a practitioner. Mark recently joined John and Paul as a partner in Ascent Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. Mark has a comprehensive knowledge of design and fitting of orthoses and extensive experience with pediatrics. He has worked extensively on the development of our pre preg composite program allowing our staff to design and custom fabricate orthoses using the latest technology available in the industry.
